Plug-and-Play Off-Grid Power, Anywhere You Need It

Reliable power isn’t always available where and when it’s needed. To address this, Solar Structures has developed a 2kW off-grid power trailer that delivers clean, dependable electricity wherever grid access is limited or unavailable. Designed for flexibility and ease of use, the trailer is available now for rent or purchase.

This compact system is fully plug-and-play, allowing users to deploy off-grid power quickly with minimal setup. Built using high-quality Victron electrical components, the trailer provides robust performance, efficient energy management and dependable operation across a wide range of applications.

The off-grid power trailer is suitable for use at homes, businesses, construction sites, coffee kiosks, events, or any location where temporary or mobile power is required. Whether supporting a short-term project or providing a longer-term off-grid solution, the system offers a clean and quiet alternative to traditional generators.

As with all our projects, the trailer has been designed and assembled in County Galway, reflecting our focus on practical engineering, durability and ease of use. The result is a versatile power solution that can be deployed quickly and confidently in real-world conditions.

We welcome enquiries from anyone interested in renting or purchasing a Solar Structures off-grid power trailer. If you need reliable, plug-and-play power — wherever you are — we’d be happy to discuss how this solution can work for you.

Upgrading Car Parks with Solar PV Canopies: From Business Case to Delivery

Across Ireland, car parks are increasingly being recognised as valuable assets for on-site renewable energy generation. At Solar Structures, we work with organisations of all sizes to transform underutilised parking areas into high-performing solar PV canopies that deliver clean energy, carbon reductions and long-term value.

Recent projects illustrate the range of work we undertake in this space. One involved a large-scale car park canopy deployment for a well known international organisation, while another focused on a smaller but equally complex site for another blue-chip client. While differing in scale, both projects followed the same structured, end-to-end approach.

Our involvement began with a detailed usage and options analysis, assessing site constraints, energy demand and future requirements. This early-stage work allowed us to support our clients in developing a robust business case, ensuring each project was technically sound and commercially viable from the outset.

From there, we worked closely with stakeholders through design development and planning, integrating structural, architectural and PV considerations into a single coordinated solution. All steel structures were then designed and fabricated in-house in County Galway, giving our clients confidence in quality, traceability and delivery timelines.

Installation was carefully managed to minimise disruption while delivering durable, high-performance solar infrastructure tailored to each site. Both projects are now generating renewable energy on-site, and feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive.

With all design and fabrication completed in Ireland, we are proud to support organisations large and small in delivering reliable, innovative solar PV canopy projects. We are always open to discussing similar opportunities with interested parties.
