It is an ill-wind ….

Is olc an ghaoth nach séideann maith do dhuine éigin”

To all of you who were worried last night about the fate of the first Solar Pergola structure built and installed by Solar Structures (https://solarstructures.ie/) and JFW renewables (https://jfwrenewables.ie/), I would like to inform you that you can all rest easy!

The Solarstructures.ie Timber Pergola standing up to Storm Eunice 18/02/2022

Storm Eunice has passed and we are still standing proud.  This is the second storm to pass by in three days.  Our engineer is thrilled with the storms so that our structure got it’s first ‘big test’, myself as CEO was just relieved.  It is not that we had expected any damage to the structure, but on a windy stormy night, no matter the detailed the engineering reports and the computer generated analysis, there is still a slight worry that something might go wrong.

Storm Eunice / Ireland / 18/02/2022

As you can all see from the short video above, neither storm Dominic nor storm Eunice have been able to break the spirit of our 5Kw solar carport / pergola.  While today might not be a vintage day from a solar energy generation point of view, the structure should be able to keep those blue recycling bins safe and dry!

Tá an stoirm anois thart agus buíochas mór libh go léir as na paidreacha agus an dea-ghuí.  Tá muid ag seasamh fós in aineoin na droch aimsire!  Beidh muid uile in ann codladh a dhéanamh anocht go suaimhneach.
